ACI buys paytech assets from RevChip and TranSend
ACI Worldwide, a payments and banking solutions company, has acquired technology assets from RevChip and TranSend, both developers of terminal payment apps and management platforms.
The acquisitions have allowed ACI to release new cloud-based, omni-channel in-store payments capabilities within its UP Merchant Payments solution.
“The move to the cloud provides merchants with challenges as well as opportunities, but merchants require a technology platform that delivers agnostic control, scalability and security as well as integrated payments and fraud capabilities,” says Sanjay Gupta, executive vice-president, ACI Worldwide.
The financial details were not disclosed. ACI says the acquisition is not expected to be financially material to ACI in 2019.
The firm says its UP solution now delivers greater control, flexibility and security for merchants as they move more services to the cloud.
ACI is focused on the integration between point-of-sale (POS) applications, payments software and payment terminals to deliver “true omni-channel payments”, while reducing in-store IT footprint.
