BNY Mellon to unveil data business
BNY Mellon is launching a new data unit as it looks for a change in the way it does business with clients.
There aren’t a lot of details at present, but it is looking for someone to manage this new business.
Akash Shah, head of strategy at BNY Mellon, says the role reports to its executive committee and wants individuals to contact him with their interest and qualifications.
Roman Regelman, senior executive vice-president, head of digital at BNY Mellon, wants the same.
He adds: “Data is changing the world and BNY Mellon is launching a new business that will use data in ground-breaking ways to change the way we conduct business with clients. We are looking for a strong leader to build and drive this business.”
In other recent news, BNY Mellon’s subsidiary Pershing, a provider of trading, clearing, settlement and custody services, worked with Objectway to develop its new integrated front-end solutions.
These solutions are Pershing Nexus Wealth, with digital client management portfolio management tools, and Pershing Nexus Investor, an investor portal.
While this was the official announcement, FinTech Futures had already written about it after attending Objectway’s conference in March 2018.
