Digital insurtech Qover welcomes €8m funding
Qover, the digital insurtech, has raised €8 million in a funding round led by Alven and Portag3 Ventures.
Existing Series A investor, Anthemis, also invested in the round.
In 2016, Quentin Colmant and Jean-Charles Velge, created Qover to offer insurance products via open APIs and white-label front-ends. Qover’s proprietary insurance infrastructure allows for the launch of non-life insurance products in any European country in just six weeks.
Currently, Qover’s insures nearly 50,000 customers across eight European countries.
The company has also developed thriving partnerships with firms such as Deliveroo, and Axel Springer-owned Immoweb, the real estate marketplace platform in Belgium.
The new funds will be used to accelerate its growth in digital research and development, as well as supporting insurers through turnkey solutions for their digital acquisition channels.
“This funding will allow us to accelerate our European development and investment in R&D and cutting-edge technology,” says Jean-Charles Velge.
Qover is now looking to expand its team and hire engineers, product managers, project managers and business developers.
