New firm Disberse targets the aid industry
Disberse is a new financial institution dedicated to solving the financial needs of the international aid industry.
According to the firm, the global financial system is slow, expensive and opaque – it simply wasn’t built to meet the needs of the aid industry. Disberse aims to utilise blockchain to solve this.
Among its features, it lists multi-currency account, end to end traceability, instant transfers, cash transfers, FX, and treasury management.
The firm says it is building a network of partners, not just for clients who will benefit from their services, but organisations that will become part of the Disberse platform itself.
Ben Joakim is the company’s founder and CEO, having previously been an advisor for Fintech Wales. The other founder is Paul Currion, also COO, who has experienced in technology in Red Cross and the UN.
