Banco Galicia chooses Strands for mobile banking
Argentina’s largest domestic private bank, Banco Galicia, has chosen Barcelona-based, Strands, and its Personal Finance Management (PFM) solution to deliver a more personalised digital banking experience.
The bank envisions the technology will provide a more detailed system to manage customer transactions which, in the long run, will become “a tool for financial education” to help users develop smarter spending habits.
The AI-based, highly-customisable digital money management software is integrated with Banco Galicia’s existing systems, following suit of more than 650 bank-Strands implementations.
“With this new application, we analyse all the data related to income and expenses, and we provide users with the possibility of gaining a better understanding of how they spend their money,” says Banco Galicia’s digital channels manager, Fernando Giannoni.
He adds: “For example, our customers have all their spending organised in their mobile phones, as the app automatically groups expenses into categories so that they can be better managed”.
Strands is very excited to be working with Banco Galicia. Erik Brieva, Strands’s CEO, says: “Banco Galicia is the most pioneering national financial institution in Argentina and one of the most innovative in Latin America.”
