big xyt hires SocGen’s Richard Hills
Data analytics firm big xyt has poached Richard Hills from French multinational investment bank Société Générale (SocGen).
Hills has joined the firm as its new head of client engagement, having launched SocGen’s equities electronic trading business, eventually becoming co-head of cash equities execution.
The analytics firm is an independent reference for equity market structure, and counts trading venues, buy-side and sell-side firms among its client base. It offers what it calls a data and analytics-as-a-service model.
“The investment industry is undergoing rapid and fundamental change, driven by greater passive investment, falling fees and more regulation,” says Hills.
“I see scalable, high performance technology and data driven automation as the key to survival and success. big xyt’s best execution and off-the-shelf analytics products demonstrate the power of this new architecture.”
