UK fintech Zeux lets users shop on Amazon through its banking app
Zeux, a UK-based banking, payments and investment fintech, has launched an in-app Amazon shopping feature which allows Zeux’s users to shop on Amazon through its own app.
The fintech says its new feature aims to respond to the market demand for online goods as the coronavirus continues to shut the doors of thousands of retailers. All in-app purchases will earn 2% cashback, the fintech says.
Online retail sales jumped by an average of 74% in March, with gardening products seeing the highest spike of 163% compared to the previous year according to ACI Worldwide.
Riding this surge in demand, Zeux’s in-app shopping feature is now live for all customers, but as it’s still technically in beta, the fintech says it is still “subject to updates”. Users can access it through the Amazon affiliate programme.
The shopping feature also adds to Zeux’s overall USP – to be an “all-in-one money management” experience.
The app already offers savings features which include up to 6% interest offerings, a cryptocurrency wallet, a “zero-fee” cross-border payments service and a set of asset management and investment tools.
“Our long-term mantra is to offer the UK customer everything they need – when it comes to managing their finances – in one place,” says Zeux’s founder and CEO Frank Zhou.
“As a customer-centric and agile fintech company, we see an opportunity to respond to the current demand and also provide a future-proof service by offering a convenient shopping experience.”
The 2018-founded fintech says it has already “amassed tens of thousands” of customers and has seen “50% month on month growth”.
It is now focused on a funding drive to be announced “imminently”, and is gearing up for product roll-out across Europe in the next year.
