Landesbank Berlin to develop commercial card programme with SIA
Landesbank Berlin has selected payment infrastructure firm SIA to underpin a series of co-branded payments accounts with commercial partners in Germany.
The agreement involves the processing of over 2.8 million cards issued by Landesbank Berlin and services for the management and prevention of fraud, and management of disputes and chargebacks.
The bank will be able to use further applications developed by SIA, including the digital preservation of customer documentation and the vendor’s Business Intelligence & Datawarehouse solution.
“In cooperation with SIA we offer our credit card customers innovative payment solutions at the point of sale and in ecommerce,” says Johannes Drews, managing director at Landesbank Berlin.
Founded in 2014, Landesbank Berlin is a commercial bank and member of the Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband (DSGV), an association of savings banks.
Cristina Astore, northwest Europe and regional sales director for SIA, says that the deal confirms her company’s position as a “technology partner of reference” in Germany.
