Norway’s Husbanken selects Temenos Transact
Husbanken, the Norwegian state housing bank, has selected Temenos Transact to replace its legacy IT system.
Temenos’ local implementation partner Syncordis will support the implementation, through which Husbanken aims to change up its back office operations and “reduce cost and complexity.”
“We needed a core banking product that could underpin our digital transformation and drive significant efficiency gains,” says Anders Jørgensen, CIO of Husbanken.
“Temenos Transact will transform and simplify our operations, and help us deliver enhanced digital services to our customers.”
Husbanken is a government agency and bank founded in 1946. The company is based in Drammen and is one of the country’s largest banks.
It operates under the Norweigian Ministry of Local Government and has a loan portfolio of around €14 billion.
Jørgensen says that his firm’s core priority will always remain providing access to housing loans for municipalities and residents in Norway.
“We are excited to partner with Husbanken as they embark on their digital transformation journey,” says Alain Vansnick, regional director for Benelux and Nordics at Temenos.
“With Temenos Transact we will enable Husbanken to streamline the delivery of vital loans through powerful back-office automation and standardisation, freeing up the bank’s resources to better support its customers’ wellbeing.”
