ASB Bank replaces legacy trade finance system with CGI’s Trade360
New Zealand-based ASB Bank has replaced its legacy trade system with the cloud-based Trade360 solution from CGI.
According to ASB head of trade finance Fergus Lee, partnering with CGI is a move to help the bank’s clients have a “safe seamless digital service”.
“At ASB, innovating has been part of everything we have done for more than 170 years. We’re determined to provide our customers with outstanding service especially with the current COVID-19 environment.”
Founded in 1847 as Auckland Savings Bank, ASB sits under the Commonwealth Bank of Australia brand.
The bank provides retail, business and rural banking, funds management and insurance.
CGI claims that Trade 360 provides a “reliable, robust and intuitive platform for automating key bank functions.”
It adds that the new system will support ASB’s growth objectives and aid digitising international trade.
“We are proud of our partnership with ASB Bank and the launch of a new system that positions ASB for increased competitiveness in the global marketplace,” says Les Davey, vice president and sector lead for CGI in Australia.
