ClearBank has appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO) and chief information officer (CIO).
James Hopkinson joins ClearBank from Standard Chartered and takes up the CFO position. Hopkinson spent almost 20 years at the bank in a variety of roles. Most recently he spent time as the global co-head of finance.
Hopkinson joins ClearBank’s executive committee and takes up a seat as an executive director on the board.
Marc Jenkins, ClearBank’s previous CFO, moves to a position as head of strategic projects. The bank describes his new position as a “critical role” focused on the development of services.
Stuart Morely is the new CIO. He joins from venture and capital firm Eight Roads, where he served as a technology partner.
Prior to this, Morely spent time as CIO for Fidelity International in Asia, where he led the company’s global innovation programme.
ClearBank CEO, Charles McManus, says that he is “thrilled” to announce the new appointments.
“James and Stuart join ClearBank at an exciting time, as we continue to build upon our banking-as-a-service proposition and deliver innovative, cloud-based and technology-led services to more and more customers.”
