Artis Technologies secures $1.5m in seed funding
Atlanta-based lending fintech Artis Technologies has secured $1.5 million in seed funding from the Fintech Ventures Fund.
Founded in March 2020, Artis claims to provide lending solutions enabling businesses to offer “affordable, low-friction financing” to their customers.
Since launch the company has gone to market with two products, Artis Connect and Artis Credit. The first allows businesses to offer downstream credit. The second provides a network connecting businesses with banks and credit unions.
Artis has raised $3 million to date, with $1.5 million coming from angel investment funds.
Barclay Keith, CEO of the start-up, says that launching during the global pandemic “proved to be a challenge”.
The company’s focus for the remainder of 2020 will centre on additional fundraising, and building “a great team and culture”.
Keith adds that his company’s lead investor has had a “clear understanding” of Artis from day one.
Lucas Timberlake, partner at Fintech Ventures Fund, says Artis is taking “a unique approach towards reducing the pain points that various stakeholders experience”.
“We are excited to support Artis’ seasoned management team in this next phase of the company’s growth.”
