Linn-Co Federal Credit Union goes live on Episys core system
Oregon-based Linn-Co Federal Credit Union has gone live on the Episys core processing platform provided by Jack Henry & Associates’ Symitar division.
Member Driven Technologies (MDT), an implementation partner for Jack Henry, supported the deployment. The Episys platform will be hosted by MDT.
Linn-Co Federal Credit Union had worked with an in-house core system for 25 years. It conducted a “thorough search process involving staff from every department” to evaluate replacements.
The credit union eventually selected MDT and Symitar due to the partnership between the two.
According to MDT the coronavirus pandemic occurred in the middle of the conversion. The two companies managed to complete the rest of the switch remotely.
“Executing a core conversion during a pandemic is no easy undertaking,” says Carol Cromwell, CEO of Linn-Co FCU.
Cromwell adds the teamwork between MDT and Jack Henry helped make the transition smooth.
“The timing of our conversion worked out well for us. If we didn’t have these new tools with expanded functionality to help us adapt, we wouldn’t be as prepared to deal with upcoming changes.”
The credit union also implemented Jack Henry’s Banno Digital Platform through its partnership with MDT.
Founded in 1956 by a group of school teachers, Linn-Co FCU is based in Lebanon, Oregon. The credit union holds around $129.5 million in assets.
