Jordan Ahli Bank goes live on Temenos Infinity
Jordan Ahli Bank has gone live with Temenos’ Infinity system to cover its digital and mobile banking operations.
Ahli Bank is an existing user of Temenos’ core banking system. The bank went live with T24 (now known as Transact) in November 2016 after a four-year implementation period.
Temenos says Infinity enabled Ahli bank to create a new mobile and online-based account opening service in 30 days.
Ahli Bank also plans to deploy Infinity across its corporate banking operations. It opted for the digital front-end to test the waters with the new system.
Currently the Temenos system powers personal banking products, including deposit accounts, payments, credit cards, loans and insurance.
The bank has set up an open banking marketplace using Temenos APIs. It plans to tap developers signed on to the Open Banking Project.
Haitham Matar, digital strategy director for Jordan Ahli Bank, says Temenos has understood the requirements of its local market.
“This has proved a huge advantage for us as we transform our banking operations and adapt to the changing needs of our customers.
“Adding Temenos Infinity to our existing Temenos Transact core banking platform, means we can now create and continuously enhance our digital products with greater speed and agility.”
Jean-Paul Mergeai, Temenos managing director for Middle East and Africa, says its core systems have played a “key role” at the bank.
“Now, with Temenos Infinity, Ahli Bank is able create and launch new seamless and frictionless digital experiences for its customers with remarkable speed.”
Founded in 1955 as Jordan National Bank, Ahli Bank has operations in Lebanon, Palestine, and Cyprus.
