Danish digital bank Lunar picks FIS for treasury and risk
Denmark-based digital bank Lunar has selected a cloud-based treasury and risk management solution from FIS.
The Nordic bank chose the FIS private cloud-based Ambit Quantum, a front-to-back treasury and risk management solution.
It will implement the solution on the FIS private cloud under a managed services contract.
Lunar is also using the FIS Swift Service Bureau to connect its treasury and payment operations to banking partners.
“We’re excited to work with FIS as we look to change banking in the Nordics,” says Anders Hartlev, chief financial officer at Lunar.
“Our goal is to change the way people think about and spend their money, and technology is the enabler in that revolution.”
Hartley believes the FIS solutions will provide his bank with the tools for expanding its client base and product portfolio.
Lunar has completed two funding rounds this year. A Series B in April landed it $20 million, and a Series C raised $47 million in October.
The start-up claims to be the only cloud-based digital bank armed with a banking licence in the Nordics.
Lunar started out as a personal finance management (PFM) app, securing its banking licence in August 2019.
In October 2019 it tasked Temenos with running its fraud protection and anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) services.
