Tink appoints SimCorp CEO Holse as new chairman
Swedish open banking firm, Tink, has appointed SimCorp CEO, Klaus Holse, as its new chairman.
Holse has spent eight years at the head of SimCorp. He is also chairman at cloud platform SuperOffice and payroll firm Zenegy.
Prior to SimCorp he spent more than 11 years at Microsoft, leaving as its president of Western Europe in 2012. Klaus also worked as CEO at Internet Ventures Scandinavia and Senior VP at Oracle Corp.
“Tink is leading the charge in open banking across Europe with its aggregation and payment products,” says Holse.
“On top of this they have built a unique set of products unlocking the value in financial data for the benefit of financial institutions, fintechs, startups and their end users.
“Tink has built a phenomenal team of some of the brightest minds in the industry.”
Daniel Kjellén, Tink co-founder and CEO, says Holse has a “fantastic track record” when it comes to scaling software.
He adds: “Klaus’ knowledge of the tech industry and his experience of building partnerships with financial institutions will be incredibly valuable to Tink.”
Tink bought up the aggregation platform made by UK rival OpenWrks in September.
The terms of the deal were undisclosed. The deal saw OpenWrks bring more than 3,000 bank connections into Tink’s ecosystem.
