Temenos shakes up executive team with changes at the top
Swiss core banking vendor, Temenos, has announced a shake-up of its executive team, with no less than four changes at the top.
According to the firm, the switch is part of a scheme to “promote internal talent and attract top leaders”.
Alexa Guenoun has moved up to take on the chief operating officer (COO) role. She replaces Jean-Michel Hilsenkopf, who is retiring after more than 27 years’ service at Temenos.
Having joined in 2006, Guenoun previously headed up Temenos’ activities in the Americas. Jacqueline White, who has worked for DXC, Oracle, and SAP in the past, replaces Guenon in that role.
David Macdonald joins the Temenos executive committee as president of Europe. MacDonald joined Temenos in 2020 from SAS.
Temenos’ long-serving Middle East and Africa director, Jean-Paul Mergeai, has moved up to president, adding Asia-Pacific to his remit.
Deirdre Dempsey-Leclercq, a Temenos employee since 2001, joins the executive committee as chief legal officer.
Takis Spiliopoulos (chief financial), Mark Winterburn (chief product), and Monica Rancat (chief human resources) remain on the executive committee in their respective roles.
“We have excellent strength and depth of management,” says Max Chuard,CEO of Temenos.
“I am proud and privileged to have a world-class executive committee with dedicated and hugely experienced leaders to drive our success in 2021.”
