Ben Davey departs from Barclays Ventures CEO role
The CEO of Barclays’ Ventures brand, Ben Davey, has stepped down from his role to become an independent advisor and investor.
Davey spent almost three years at the head of the UK banking group’s venture division. He had worked for the bank at large since 2010.
Prior to heading up Ventures, Davey worked as the bank’s head of strategy.
At the time of his appointment in 2018, he said he wanted Ventures to “look and feel very much like a start-up or scale-up operation”.
Outside of Barclays, Davey spent nine years at Rothschild between 2001 and 2010 working in mergers and acquisitions.
