Kiwi payments start-up Dosh selects Software Group
New Zealand-based financial services start-up Dosh has picked Software Group as its launch technology partner.

Dosh is the first local mobile wallet in New Zealand. It combines contactless and peer-to-peer (P2P) payments alongside “customisable value-added services” and “superior security”.
The new service aims at both business and individual users. Dosh says it wants to make consumer to merchant transactions easier and more affordable.
Founders Shane Marsh and James McEniery say they started Dosh after finding that banking technology in their home country had not kept up with elsewhere.
Their firm aims to emulate instant payment and cash transfer services found among fintechs in Southeast Asia.
The wallet is now based on Software Group’s DigiWave banking platform. The vendor is providing managed services to cut down on IT maintenance for its customer.
Dosh says it wants to set the foundation for “a future-proof digital path” developed on a single, scalable platform.
“After an extensive search globally, we found Software Group to be the most approachable and flexible for meeting our development requirements,” says Dosh co-founder Marsh.
Russell Taylor, chief commercial officer at Software Group, says its platform should offer a “new-generation, affordable mobile payment service” to customers.
