Nomura hires former Barclays exec Jain as new CIO
Nomura has announced the appointment of Sameer Jain as its new chief information officer (CIO) for wholesale banking, based in New York.
Jain will control IT and operations for the bank’s wholesale operations, the digital office, and the bank group data department.
He spent 13 years at Barclays bank, leaving as chief technology officer in 2019. Jain also worked at investment bank UBS for 13 years, where he spent the last three at the firm as its head of credit and EM technology.
