Sendit.Money chooses Lerex Technology for prepaid payments tech
Mobile wallet and remittance firm Sendit.Money has selected payments solutions provider Lerex Technology.
Founded in September 2019, Sendit.Money targets remittance corridors in emerging markets. The start-up plans to roll its product out by the third quarter of this year.
As well as undercutting money transfer fees for payments, Sendit.Money also intends to offer rewards to its users. It says its mission is to “fight economic exclusion and foster social innovation in emerging markets”.
Michael Lawal, CEO of Sendit.Money, hopes that Lerex’s “product and agility will allow us to bring our solution to market very quickly and allow us the flexibility to grow in the longer term”.
Lerex officially launched in 2020, and claims to provide “end to end support” for prepaid payments. It supports prepaid cards and digital accounts.
