NerdWallet signs with Fluent Money for next UK mortgages push
San Francisco-based NerdWallet has selected secured loan broker, Fluent Money Group, as its partner for UK secured loans, mortgages and equity release.
This follows a competitive tender process and extends an existing partnership between the two companies.
San Francisco-based NerdWallet provides resources for people looking for finance and financial guidance. It entered the UK aggregator market last year, acquiring Know Your Money, a provider of comparisons on financial products.
Through its latest partnership with Fluent Money, NerdWallet will have access to Fluent’s broad panel of lenders. Its customers will also have access to Fluent’s MyFluent App.
The app provides a mortgage application portal allowing customers real-time access and download of their documents, and the ability to add notes and view and speak with their adviser. It also supports biometric and document verification for identification for mortgage processing.
Paul Ford, Fluent Money’s group commercial director, says the tie-up is “very much part of our strategy to become the platform of choice for aggregators in the UK”.
Fluent Money was founded in 2008 and has more than 350 staff. It spans financial products from first-time buyer mortgages through to re-mortgages, second charge mortgages, bridging finance and equity release together with complementary life and general insurance products.
The group currently provides over £1bn of annualised lending, representing a 34 per cent increase on the previous twelve months. Its technology allows it to integrate with financial aggregators and other intermediaries.
