Credito Emiliano goes live on Temenos Infinity to launch new mobile app
Italian lender Credito Emiliano has gone live on Temenos Infinity, launching a new mobile app on the cloud-based technology.
Temenos says the bank was able to create its new app in nine months using its platform.
The new app offers the standard array of banking services, including card management, an ATM locator and live customer support. A business-focused offshoot is set to follow.
Credito Emiliano is running Temenos Infinity on the public cloud with Amazon Web Services to achieve “efficiency, security and resilience” for its digital banking services.
“With Temenos, we have been able to quickly develop a mobile banking experience to compete with the very best in Italy,” says Fabio Caliceti, head of digital channels at the bank.
“Temenos Infinity gives us the platform we need to efficiently build and manage exceptional digital banking experiences that keep pace with changing customer needs.
“It is strategic to our digital growth plans and enables us to future-proof our customer relationships.”
Based in the northern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, Credito Emiliano operates a collection of internal divisions for its retail banking, corporate banking and private banking.
The bank often breaks into the top ten largest financial institutions in Italy, and holds assets of €38 billion.
“Digital innovation in banking is thriving in Italy,” says David Macdonald, president of Europe at Temenos.
“[The bank] has shown how Temenos Infinity can deliver outstanding digital mobile experiences in a very short timeframe.
“Customer expectations are constantly evolving, but with the continuous innovation and deployment capabilities of the platform, it will always be one step ahead of the competition.”
