Exclusive: Central Bank of Egypt selects collection of Oracle FS platforms
The Central Bank of Egypt has selected Oracle FS as its technology partner, and is implementing a handful of systems and platforms from the vendor going forward.
Oracle competed with Temenos and Intellect Design for the deal
FinTech Futures understands that the “African Central Bank” mentioned in Oracle’s latest financial results is the Egyptian central bank.
The bank is implementing Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking, Oracle Digital Banking, Oracle Banking Payments and Oracle Banking Trade Finance.
On top of those systems, it is also deploying platforms for treasury management, corporate lending, credit facilities, and data analysis.
Among the legacy systems in place at the Central Bank of Egypt are FIS/Sungard for treasury management, and ProgressSoft for payments.
FinTech Futures understands Oracle competed with Temenos and Intellect Design to win this major deal.
When approached by FinTech Futures, the vendor declined to comment on the matter.
