Senior Backend Engineer, OakNorth
Small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) are one of the biggest drivers of growth and innovation in economies all over the world. Despite these companies being a powerful force in the economy, many SMEs find it difficult to raise capital during critical stages of their company growth.
Traditional commercial lending is optimised to make loans that are either too small to be effective or too large and expensive to be practical. At OakNorth, the mission is to help lenders fill this gap, which the company refers to as the “Missing Middle”.
OakNorth is building a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform called the Credit Intelligence Suite which transforms commercial lending by helping banks build deeper relationships with their clients and open new, more profitable opportunities while delivering credit decisions up to ten times faster than traditional models with lower risk and greater efficiency.
If you want to work in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers and credit analysts, this might be the place for you.
You should be excited to organise around a real customer problem and work as a team to solve it, and iterate based on feedback from users. You will need to be a pragmatic engineer, and value simplicity as one of your core principles. The role will require you to be very hands-on both designing system architecture and programming its implementation.
People Data and Analytics Lead, Checkout.com
As People Data and Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing data analytics and reporting for the People department.
You will play a crucial role in shaping analytic frameworks and ensuring reporting capabilities and tools are fit-for-purpose and enable teams to make data supported decisions. You will create and produce user-friendly and value-add products that drive accountability, enhance enablement and support the People team’s strategic reporting needs as the business continues to scale.
You will be liaising with partners and colleagues across all levels and will represent People Data and Analytics throughout the organisation, ensuring it provides scalable and strategic solutions.
Reporting into the Director of People Strategy and Planning, this is a key role with significant opportunity to have impact and build trust as a subject matter expert. As a specialist in your field, you will have the autonomy and freedom to deliver innovative solutions focused on building sustainable People models and automations.
You will be part of a new team made up of project and transformation managers, change and communication professionals and data and reporting specialists.
The team’s mission is to drive efficiency, innovation and collaboration across the People team by providing expert central advice and designing frameworks, guidelines and models to help support as the company grows!
The role will be based in Checkout’s London HQ, but due to the current COVID-19 situation it is anticipated that a high proportion of the role will be based at home.
Cyber Strategy and Transformation, Manager, Deloitte
Deloitte’s Risk Advisory practice helps organisations effectively measure and mitigate risk and make informed and intelligent risk decisions around business processes, technology and operations.
Their business is expanding rapidly, and cyber risk is a particular area of exciting growth. Helping clients with their cyber risk challenges is complex and often involves working closely with a diverse range of experts from many different disciplines and geographies.
In this role, you’ll be both a valued consultant and a true business partner. Defining technology roadmaps, leading projects and influencing decision-makers will all be in a day’s work.
Think you’ll just be a strategist? Think again. You’ll provide leadership to deliver hands-on solutions to major client challenges – conducting cyber maturity reviews and threat and risk assessments, creating operating models, designing infrastructure, specifying hardware, building software, simulating attacks and war gaming.
Deloitte is looking for cyber risk, strategy and transformation professionals whose background includes working with security technologies and solutions, software development, cloud, networking, performing risk assessments or project management together with a broad understanding across information security domains.
Ideally you should have experience bringing this knowledge together to assess and advise against/on security good practice and deliver transformational improvements with regards to cyber risk.
