Railsbank hires Stuart Gregory as new chief product officer
Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) fintech Railsbank has hired Stuart Gregory as its new chief product officer.
Gregory will join Railsbank’s executive committee and head up the fintech’s product, engineering and partnerships division.
The embedded finance platform poached Gregory from Wise, where he was managing director of Wise Business and Wise Platform.
Railsbank says Gregory built the business propositions to represent 20% of Wise at the firm’s recent £8.75 billion listing.
Prior to Wise, Gregory was vice president of Paysafe Group’s product division. He has also served as VP head of Visa Checkout product development at Visa Europe, helping to shape the firm’s digital wallet into a product available for member banks as part of a £150 million project.
Railsbank co-founder and CEO Nigel Verdon says: “We value [Stuart’s] insights, knowledge and experience of scaling a business which will be of benefit to both our customers and the Railsbank team.”
Gregory adds he believes embedded finance is a “huge opportunity”.
Railsbank raised $70 million in its latest funding round in July as it looks to expand across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.
