BNP Paribas partners European paytech SIA to launch branded corporate cards
BNP Paribas has partnered with Euro paytech SIA to launch co-branded cards with major commercial partners in France and other European countries.
Under the arrangement, SIA’s payment services and technology infrastructure will process the digital and physical co-branded cards issued by BNP Paribas.
The partnership will mean BNP Paribas’ commercial partners will enjoy enhanced card loyalty programmes, with hospitality firm Accor launching a new payment card in France that will offer members the opportunity to collect loyalty points when making purchases.
SIA’s platform also includes capabilities to manage and prevent fraud and chargebacks, as well as authentication processes for online ecommerce purchases.
BNP Paribas will also leverage SIA’s digital on-boarding and Open Banking platforms to enrol new customers on mobile apps and access information pertaining to different bank accounts, in line with EU e-money regulation, the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).
“The payment card market is undergoing a huge transformation, particularly in Europe, both functionally and technologically,” says Carlo Bovero, BNP Paribas’ global head of cards and innovative payments.
“Today, it is one of the major drivers enriching the customer experience and introducing higher added value services and offers.”
