Blue Federal Credit Union picks Backbase for new front-end digital interface
Wyoming-based Blue Federal Credit Union (Blue FCU) has selected banking technology provider Backbase as it looks to upgrade its front-end digital interface for its retail and business banking customers.
Blue FCU will adopt Backbase’s Digital Banking, Digital Sales and Digital Assist solutions to replace its legacy UI/UX.
Backbase says the partnership is the “latest move in Blue’s efforts to elevate its digital infrastructure”.
The firm says it will deliver “a customisable front-end experience” that will “enable the credit union to compete like a national bank and increase its market share across the United States”.
Blue FCU is a not-for-profit financial institution serving communities across Wyoming and Colorado.
Stephanie Teubner, president and CEO at Blue FCU, says the collaboration will give the firm “the power to adapt and grow quickly”.
Kent Richard, CIO at Blue FCU, adds: “We have been working on our digital transformation for some time now, but our investment in Backbase moves us away from a product-centered online and mobile implementation to a digital experience, providing member solutions across all of our digital channels.”
The partnership caps a busy year for Backbase, which has seen the firm strike deals with Raiffeisen Switzerland, Ghana International Bank and Techcombank, among others.
