Goldman Sachs partners AWS for cloud data management and analytics solution
Financial services giant Goldman Sachs has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create a data management and analytics solution for financial institutions.
Announced at AWS re:Invent, Goldman Sachs Financial Cloud for Data is a cloud-native offering for hedge funds, asset managers and other institutional clients.
The firm says the solution will make it easier for its clients to utilise data in the cloud.
The multinational claims current financial data management and analytics solutions are “based on a patchwork of legacy technologies that struggle to meet the latency and scale requirements of modern investment practices”, and that its new solution will “lower the barriers to entry for accessing advanced quantitative analytics across global markets”.
It adds the offering will allow institutional clients to speed up the time to market for new financial applications and provide access to financial data from Goldman Sachs.
Goldman Sachs CEO and chairman David Solomon says the partnership will enable developers to focus on building financial solutions for their customers.
