Paytech Recharge.com hires David Lindheimer as CPTO
European paytech Recharge.com has appointed former Amazon exec David Lindheimer as chief product and technology officer (CPTO).
As CPTO, Lindheimer will look to leverage his more than two decades of experience at Microsoft and Amazon in support of Recharge.com’s next stage of international growth.
“I joined Recharge.com to help scale our vision around branded payments and prepaid digital credit to millions of users around the world,” Lindheimer says.
Lindheimer previously spent 9 years at Amazon, most recently serving as head of advertiser campaign experiences.
Prior to Amazon, he spent 10 years at Microsoft, leading Dynamics business applications, a China-based incubator, and Bing’s travel vertical.
“David’s addition to our team will enable us to keep disrupting the prepaid payment market with smart technology and customer-friendly online solutions, as we continue to expand in markets around the world,” says Recharge.com’s CEO Günther Vogelpoel.
In recent years, Recharge.com says it has benefited from high smartphone penetration, the increasing use of e-wallets, digital cross-border transactions, and alternative payment methods.
The hire follows a $35 million Series B round in September and the opening of a new office in Lisbon.
At the time, the online branded payments provider said it will use the money to expand its global footprint across the US, Asia, and Latin America.
