Westmark Credit Union in core banking tech revamp with Symitar
Westmark CU, an Idaho-based credit union with more than $1 billion in assets, is moving to a new core banking system provided by US banking tech heavyweight Jack Henry & Associates and its Symitar division.
The new solution will be hosted in a private cloud environment, replacing the legacy on-premise installation.
The credit union went to market for new software as it was “unable to easily add modern technology to its existing core”, the vendor says. Symitar was selected for “its open and flexible infrastructure”.
Don West, chief information officer at Westmark, says: “Symitar’s technology and team closely aligned with our culture and future direction. Symitar’s workflows and connectivity provide the opportunity to realise significant financial and efficiency gains.
“And most importantly, it gives us the optionality we need to integrate with the products and service providers of our choice.”
