UK fintech Monese hires Alistair Bennett as chief product officer
UK-based fintech Monese has hired product and tech veteran Alistair Bennett as its new chief product officer (CPO).
Bennett brings more than 20 years’ worth of experience to the role, having worked across product, technology platform and digital transformation at Barclays, Lloyds Bank and RBS Group.
Bennett will also join Monese’s leadership team, subject to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) approval.
Monese’s new CPO says: “I’m a firm believer that technology should open doors for people, improve lives and allow them to thrive.”
Prior to Monese, Bennett was transformation director at Premium Credit, a business-focused insurtech.
Monese says Bennett will be responsible for taking its product capability “to the next level” and delivering improved customer experiences, which the firm adds is “integral to Monese’s next stage of growth”.
CEO and founder Norris Koppel says Bennett “brings a considerable amount of experience and energy to Monese” and will help push the company’s consumer and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platforms forward.
“This and our recent leadership appointments will help push us forward during our next phase of growth and fully deliver on our mission.”
The company announced a new strategic partnership with Investec Bank in September 2021. As part of the partnership, Investec led the first close of Monese’s Series C.
