Norway’s Signicat boosts management team with several new appointments
Norwegian digital ID company Signicat has made several new appointments to its management team as the firm looks to expand its international footprint.
Pinar Alpay joins as chief product officer (CPO) while Thijs Vink has been promoted to chief central and southern Europe. Arne Vidar Haug has also been appointed as chief global solutions with Atul Randev earning a promotion to chief of M&A and strategy.
Signicat says that following a year of growth for the company, these new appointments will be “instrumental” in driving its next phase of global expansion.
Alpay joins Signicat from Worldpay/FIS, where she was responsible for leading and executing multiple product lines as well as enhancing the company’s technology infrastructure.
Alpay has also held roles at Bain as a strategy consultant and Barclaycard International as head of strategy and planning. Her predecessor, Roger Klausen, will stay on until October to ensure a smooth transition.
Vink was previously general manager of Benelux and Germany at Signicat prior to his promotion. He has also previously held roles at Oracle and Ingram Micro. Vink will be focusing on Signicat’s commercial ambitions in central and southern Europe, where the firm has recently acquired Dutch ID verification firm Connectis and Spanish-based ElectronicID.
As chief global solutions, Haug, who helped found the company and is currently chief strategy officer, will now be tasked with strengthening the commercial focus of Signicat on large international accounts across various markets.
Randev has a background in consulting, having worked at firms such as Bain and Arkwright. He has already supported Signicat with three successful acquisitions since joining in May 2021.
