M&T Bank hires Ishet Dhar as chief digital officer
M&T Bank has appointed Ishet Dhar as its new chief digital officer (CDO), as the bank looks to double down on its digital-first strategy.
Dhar will be responsible for digital transformation efforts across the entire firm, leading the strategy, integration and development of M&T’s digital platforms.
Speaking on his appointment, Dhar says his goal is to “make it easier for customers across our communities to access the services and solutions they need”.
Before joining M&T, Dhar spent 17 years at Bank of America, most recently as senior vice president for digital consumer delivery.
He will report to Christopher Kay, head of consumer and business banking and marketing at M&T.
Kay adds: “Dhar will be focused on delivering value for our customers, while giving our bankers the tools they need to be a source of support and guidance in the communities where we live and work.”
Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, M&T Bank provides banking services across 12 states in the Eastern US.
Dhar will be based in M&T’s regional headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.
