Paytech firm Elavon hires Hemlata Narasimhan as president of European operations
Elavon Merchant Services has appointed ex-Visa executive Hemlata Narasimhan as its new president in Europe.
Narasimhan previously served as senior vice president of Visa’s merchant and acquiring business in Europe. She was also responsible for the European growth of Cybersource – a payment platform acquired by Visa in 2010, and an Elavon partner.
Narasimhan has also previously worked for firms such as American Express and Boston Consulting Group.
Speaking on her appointment, Narasimhan says: “As well as having US Bank behind it, there are inherent strengths in the Elavon business that will enable it to take advantage as the payments industry recovers from the pandemic.”
Elavon, a subsidiary of US Bancorp, is a global payments company operating in over 10 countries. It offers businesses the technology needed to accept payments from customers in physical stores or online.
