Paytech Nium appoints Ramana Satyavarapu as new CTO
Cross-border B2B payments platform Nium has appointed former Google and Microsoft executive Ramana Satyavarapu as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
In his new role, Satyavarapu will be responsible for managing Nium’s global engineering and technology strategy. He will also help facilitate revenue growth and implement major technical decisions for the company.
Based in San Francisco, he will report to Nium’s co-founder and CEO, Prajit Nanu.
Satyavarapu has over two decades of software engineering expertise having worked at companies such as Microsoft, Google, Uber and Two Sigma. Before joining Nium, he served as the CTO of Finix, leading engineering, product and technical support.
Nanu says Satyavarapu’s experience will “fuel our growth aspirations as we look to offer even more solutions to more parts of the world”.
Headquartered in Singapore, Nium provides banks, payment providers and businesses with access to global payment and card issuance solutions, with businesses able to pay out in 100+ currencies to over 190 countries.
