ClearBank hires Andrew Barker as new chief revenue officer
UK-based ClearBank has hired Andrew Barker as its new chief revenue officer (CRO), reporting directly to CEO Charles McManus.
As a global salesperson, the firm says Barker will play an “integral role” in developing its go-to-market operations following a £175 million investment in March.
He brings more than 25 years’ worth of experience in the technology space to the role. Prior to joining ClearBank, Barker was senior vice president of EMEA North at SAP Signavio and helped the firm expand across Europe and internationally.
Speaking on his appointment, Barker says he is joining ClearBank “at a time of growth for the business”.
The company provides secure accounts, real-time clearing and embedded banking for financial institutions.
Launched in 2017, it serves more than 200 financial institutions and fintech customers including Tide, Coinbase and OakNorth Bank. It has signed deals with firms including 3S Money, Recognise Bank and Chip over the last year.
In June, London-based money app Ziglu partnered with ClearBank to offer virtual GBP bank accounts to its UK customers.
