Zepz appoints former Bill.com exec Mark Lenhard as group CEO
Cross-border payments firm Zepz has appointed Mark Lenhard as its new group CEO.
Lenhard has 20 years’ experience in the payments space and was most recently chief operating officer (COO) at accounts payable fintech Bill.com.
Prior to that he was CEO at Invoice2go, a software platform that enables small businesses to manage payments.
Lenhard has held executive roles at JP Morgan Chase and PayPal, where he was head of global strategy for four years.
He also serves as a board member, advisor and seed investor to a number of growth companies in commerce and financial services.
Zepz non-executive chair and founder Ismail Ahmed says Lenhard has the “entrepreneurial leadership and strategic thinking” that Zepz needs as it looks to embark on its next phase of growth.
Lenhard replaces former CEO Breon Corcoran, who stepped down from the role earlier this year.
The decision by Zepz Group’s board of directors to make Lenhard group CEO is effective 1 September 2022.
A year ago, the firm rebranded from WorldRemit Group to Zepz following its acquisition of remittance company Sendwave and landed a $292 million Series E fundraise.
