Hodge appoints Tim Thompson as new chief information officer
Cardiff-based financial services firm Hodge has appointed Tim Thompson as its new chief information officer (CIO).
Thompson brings with him over two decades of experience working in technology and digital transformation. He joins from Cumberland Building Society, where he served as head of technology. He also previously worked at Hitachi Consumer Finance as head of change.
At Hodge, he will be tasked with leading the executive, technology and wider teams in applying the best use of technology to boost support for colleagues and customers across the UK. The firm says he will also work to ensure its systems and data “remain secure with minimal disruption”.
Commenting on his appointment, Thompson says it is a “transformational time for the organisation” as it looks to utilise new tech developments to continually improve its internal systems and processes.
Founded in 1987, Hodge is the parent company of Hodge Bank and Hodge Lifetime, offering personal mortgage products, savings products for private and commercial customers and lending services to commercial clients across the UK. It claims to have more than 85,000 customers.
Earlier this year, Hodge appointed Rob Regan as its chief operating officer (COO).
