Vietnam’s Sacombank taps Temenos for digital banking platform
Vietnam’s Sacombank has tapped banking tech vendor Temenos for its digital banking solution Infinity in order to meet growing demand for digital financial products and services.
Sacombank is one of Vietnam’s largest banks, with more than 15 million retail and business banking customers. The adoption of Temenos Infinity will allow it to deliver a unified and enhanced omnichannel experience for these increasingly digitally savvy customers.
Sacombank deputy CEO Bui Van Dung says utilising an omnichannel platform is essential for Sacombank as it looks to embrace digitalisation.
The deployment of Infinity aligns with Sacombank’s customer-centric business strategy, the bank says, with the platform offering a 360-degree customer view, helping Sacombank to acquire, service, retain and cross-sell to customers, on multiple channels and devices using native features.
Built on microservices and accessible via APIs, the Infinity platform enables Sacombank to develop products at speed and connects it with
e-commerce providers, social networks and other online services, essential as Vietnam embarks on a path towards a wider cashless ecosystem.
Sacombank is a longstanding Temenos customer and will run Temenos Infinity on top of its existing Temenos Transact core, providing complete front-to-back banking capabilities on a single platform.
Temenos managing director for APAC, Craig Bennett, says: “Adding Temenos Infinity to Sacombank’s technology stack will propel the bank forward, opening new opportunities and delivering outstanding customer experiences.”
Last month, the Swiss banking software provider cut its targets for 2022 due to rising costs, banks delaying the signing of contracts and ongoing wider market uncertainty.
