BaaS fintech Griffin hires Sameer Dubey as chief product officer
Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) fintech Griffin has hired Sameer Dubey as chief product officer (CPO) as the firm enters a new phase of growth.
Dubey brings 15 years’ worth of experience across financial services, including traditional banking and start-ups, to the role. Before joining Griffin, Dubey was COO at crypto exchange Bitstamp. Prior to Bitstamp, Dubey was head of German challenger N26. He has also been head of payments products for the UK at Barclays Corporate Bank.
Having led product and proposition development, Griffin says, Dubey will spearhead the development of the next suite of products for Griffin’s full-stack API-first platform.
Griffin’s new COO says the BaaS start-up provides its customers and partners the “building blocks” they need to meet changing demands of modern consumers and businesses.
“With the rapid convergence of technology and finance, brands across industries are building innovative financial services products at speed,” Dubey adds.
The firm has also hired Fergus Speight as general counsel, who brings “a wealth of experience in the financial services industry that will be indispensable as Griffin takes its BaaS platform to market”, the firm says.
Griffin CEO and co-founder David Jarvis says the hires will help the firm achieve its “ambitious goals” over the coming months, as it expands its platform and customer base.
