Mangopay appoints Carlos Sanchez Arruti as CFO
European payment infrastructure provider Mangopay has appointed Carlos Sanchez Arruti as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Joining from Amazon, where he was CFO of Latin America, Arruti brings with him more than two decades of experience working in financial services and retail.
Over the span of his career, Arruti has held various roles at companies including American Express, where he worked as VP of finance, and with GE Capital in multiple capacities.
At Mangopay, he will be responsible for the firm’s financial strategy and scaling the financial organisation to drive revenue growth. Joining Mangopay’s executive team, Arruti will report to CEO Romain Mazeries, overseeing financial planning and analysis, pricing, accounting, treasury and business support.
CEO Mazeries says 2022 has enabled Mangopay to lay the foundation for “expected aggressive growth” in 2023 and beyond. The company hired a new CTO this year, acquired fraud prevention firm Nethone, and received funding from Advent International, which also acquired the firm.
Commenting on Arruti’s appointment, Mazeries adds: “Carlos has a large experience in managing complex and large PnL plans. His in-depth financial skills will be a key asset in supporting Mangopay’s growth trajectory, M&A and integration roadmaps, as well as operational efficiency.”
