Cboe Clear Europe hires Vikesh Patel as president
Market infrastructure and trading product provider Cboe Global Markets has appointed Vikesh Patel as president of Cboe Clear Europe, the firm’s European clearing house.
Patel, who replaces Cécile Nagel, has more than 15 years’ worth of experience in financial market infrastructure. He joins from interbank cooperative Swift, where he was most recently head of securities, leading its global securities strategy.
Before joining Swift in 2017, Patel was chief operating officer (COO) at LCH, where he led strategy, risk management and the development of new products for the clearing organisation.
Patel has also held global executive roles at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, focusing on market infrastructure and post-trade strategy.
Cboe Europe president Natan Tiefenbrun says Patel has a “long and impressive track record” in the securities post-trade industry, both in Europe and globally, with the firm looking to leverage his expertise to support Cboe Clear Europe’s strategic growth.
Parent group Cboe Global Markets provides market infrastructure and tradable products, as well as trading, clearing and investment solutions to market participants.
