Allied Payment Network appoints Kathi Klawitter as COO
Allied Payment Network, a US-based payments solutions provider to community-based financial services organisations such as banks and credit unions, has appointed Kathi Klawitter as chief operating officer (COO).
In her role as COO, Klawitter will be responsible for driving new business development, handling client retention and leading product development.
Klawitter brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having built out business units and teams within the payments and fintech sectors.
She joins Allied from banking and payments technology heavyweight Fiserv, where she headed up the operations and initiatives division within the firm’s global business solutions division. Klawitter also acted as head of operations for Fiserv community financial institutions.
Previously, she also served as vice president of merchant services at Susquehanna Bank and as senior vice president at Central Atlantic Merchant Services (Susquehanna’s subsidiary).
Allied CEO Geoff Knapp says Klawitter is a “deeply experienced fintech leader” who understands what it takes to nurture and grow customer relationships thanks to her work with community financial institutions.
Allied’s suite of online and mobile payment solutions includes internet bill pay, small business payments, peer-to-peer (P2P), account-to-account (A2A), online loan payments and the ability to buy, sell and hold Bitcoin.
The paytech was founded in 2010 and is based in Indiana. Last year, it secured a “significant capital investment” from RF Investment Partners.
