Belgium’s oldest private bank Nagelmackers in digital revamp with Objectway
Banque Nagelmackers, a Belgium-based private bank and wealth manager, is implementing a new private client wealth management platform, supplied by wealthtech vendor Objectway, for its advisory, discretionary, and execution-only offering.
The solution, built on Objectway Suite (a front-end platform for client servicing and portfolio management), “will help Nagelmackers to accelerate its digital transformation, by blending physical with digital channels in their branches”, the vendor says.
It will be hosted on private cloud and replace a number of legacy systems at Nagelmackers.
The bank selected Objectway after a competitive tender. According to Objectway, “key factors in the decision process were the capability to provide a solution compatible with local regulations, the full coverage of all the required business needs, and the ease of integration with the bank’s legacy systems”.
Yves Van Laecke, chief commercial officer at Nagelmackers, says the solution meets the bank’s “high operational, business, and digital ambitions”.
Nagelmackers is the oldest Belgian bank and is celebrating its 275th anniversary this year.
“Because we value a human approach, personal follow-up by a trusted and experienced adviser remains at the heart of our services,” it states. “But Nagelmackers is also a bank focused on the future and on full-fledged digital services.”
Objectway is an international wealth, banking, and asset management software and service provider, with HQ in Milan, Italy and operations in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, and the UAE. Having grown over the years primarily via acquisitions, it today employs 800+ people, claims €100 million of consolidated revenues, and services 200+ clients comprising banks, wealth and asset managers, and insurance firms.
