Chief strategy and digital officer of Banque Saudi Fransi departs
Mike Cunningham, chief strategy and digital officer at Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), is leaving the Riyadh-based bank.
He describes his tenure there as an “amazing four years” in a post about his departure on LinkedIn.
“What started with just me and Saiyfe El Cosantini [former head of group strategy delivery and customer experience; he left BSF last autumn] ended up with almost 200 super-talented people that created a new five-year strategy (plus a post-Covid refreshed one), a new vision, and a set of new values, lots of M&A, we built a digital bank, a BaaS venture, implemented NPS and truly kick-started customer experience at BSF,” he writes.
“We set up a new venture business ready for corporate venture capital, created an amazing open banking platform, rebuilt an entire marketing and corporate comms division and built a highly skilled team of change professionals.”
Also, the BSF team built the Digital Engineering Apprenticeship programme – “the region’s first” – he adds.
Cunningham is also CEO and managing director of 77 Ventures, a Dubai-based firm that has been established to create the next generation of digital banking services and new ventures for the Middle East.
At the end of last year, BSF also lost its head of group digital, Grant Niven, who left after around three years at the bank.
