United Heritage Credit Union taps NCR for ATM-as-a-Service solution
Enterprise tech provider NCR Corporation has agreed a deal with United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU) to run the firm’s ATM fleet via its ATM-as-a-Service (ATMaaS) solution.
The credit union will have access to the full suite of ATM capabilities offered by NCR’s ATMaaS offering, including cash management, maintenance and servicing, software and transaction processing.
UHCU chief operating officer (COO) Samantha Hess says utilising NCR’s tech will free up the firm’s team to focus on customer experience as well as “streamline our operations, upgrade our ATM infrastructure and position us to offer interactive teller capabilities”.
Established in 1957, the Texas-based credit union boasts more than $1 billion in assets, more than 76,000 members and 11 branch locations.
In November, Santander UK expanded its partnership with NCR by selecting its ATM-as-a-Service solution to upgrade, connect and run its network of more than 1,700 ATMs.
Last year, NCR revealed it is set to split into two publicly traded firms – one focused on digital commerce, the other on ATMs – by the end of 2023.
The company says the split will “unlock value” for its shareholders by creating two firms that can pursue independent growth strategies.
