Detected names Mike Ainslie chief financial officer
London-based fintech Detected has named Mike Ainslie as chief financial officer (CFO), effective immediately.

Ainslie brings a “wealth of experience” within the financial and operations industry, Detected says, having served as chief operating officer of World-Check and more recently as CFO at Yell.
Ainslie has also served as head of audit, CFO and COO for the First National Bank of Chicago.
At Detected, Ainslie will focus on the financial strategy and management of the business and report to CEO Liam Chennells.
Chennells says: “With his extensive background in finance and leadership, Mike brings invaluable expertise to Detected as we continue to grow. Solid fundamentals and back-office operations that scale are critical.”
Founded in 2020, the start-up says it enables “frictionless” global business onboarding by creating “a detailed and accurate profile of any business in the world” – fixing the know your business (KYB) process that is “notoriously slow, manual, and unfit for purpose”.
Last month, Detected secured £2.5 million in its latest financing round, featuring investment from Thomson Reuters Ventures, Love Ventures, Maropost Ventures and Emergevest.
