Enfuce wins State Treasury of Finland contract to modernise prepaid cards
The State Treasury of Finland and Kela (the Social Insurance Institution of Finland) have partnered with Finnish issuer processor Enfuce to procure a prepaid payment card service.
The five-year contract, signed on 15 February, will see Enfuce deliver a prepaid disbursement card service that allows Finland’s state treasury and Kela to offer a prepaid card payment solution.
The solution will allow the entities to disburse benefits and compensation to people in Finland, in cases where account payments are not an option.
Enfuce will also be responsible for providing related payment processing and customer service on behalf of the organisations.
The issuer processor says its prepaid cards can be customised to match each customer group’s specific needs, along with service controls and card-specific usage limits.
“For governmental organisations and Kela, the core of the partnership is to get a payment method that meets our requirements, is cost-efficient, and is easy to use for our prepaid card users,” says Lasse Skog, director of development at State Treasury of Finland.
Denise Johansson, co-founder and Co-CEO of Enfuce, says the firm’s prepaid card is “highly reliable”.
“The beneficiaries never have to worry whether their card works at the shop checkout.”
