Laurentian Bank launches new credit card programme with Brim Financial
Canada’s Laurentian Bank has launched a new line of credit cards in partnership with Canadian credit card fintech Brim Financial.
With the partnership, which was first announced in December 2021, retail customers of Laurentian Bank will be able to apply for a credit card online, and upon approval, have access to a virtual card “within seconds”, without having to wait for a physical card.
The new line of credit cards will also offer a rewards programme and access to payment options at a reduced interest rate through instalments. Customers will also be able to access a new online account to view balances, set budgets, and manage their card, including setting credit limits and the replacement of lost cards.
Karine Abgrall-Teslyk, executive vice president and head of personal banking at Laurentian Bank, says the new credit card programme will “enhance the overall experience” of its customers.
“Laurentian Bank’s customers will have globally best-in-class customer experiences and product capabilities, and Laurentian bank’s employees will access real-time workflow platforms, enabling them to significantly increase operational efficiencies across the bank,” says Rasha Katabi, founder and CEO of Brim Financial.
